About me

Bio

Hello! I’m Natalie Petty, a Thai-American woodwind musician who specializes in saxophone. I grew up in the Los Angeles, California music scene and am now based in Bremerton, Washington. My mission is to share my love and dedication to music through education, performances, and collaborations. I began my musical journey at 10 years old on Alto Saxophone and have continued it through the Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District. Throughout my musical education, I picked up Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Contrabass Clarinet, Oboe. During this time, I also had the opportunity to perform with/for numerous VIPs and local musicians, as well as attend numerous jazz competitions.

I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BM in Jazz Studies- Saxophone, gaining experience in many styles of music and ensembles- Swing, Contemporary, Pop, Latin Jazz, Classical, and even had the honor of being a part of Disney’s 2022 All-American College Band. Since then, I have played in ensembles including The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Synesthesia Sinfonietta, Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra,  numerous pit orchestras, the Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra, and more! I look forward to continuing to pursue my passion for becoming the best musician I can be while sharing my knowledge with others.
